Hull YFC
Fat and Famine
In the early 1990's Hull YFC identified some of the poorer areas of Hull which later became known as "famine" areas. The churches in these areas suffer from neglect, poor attendance and a lack of resources - both human and material. This is in contrast to the spiritually "fat", well-resourced churches in other areas.

Over the years Christians have been moving out of the famine areas and commuting into church, leaving vast areas with no Christian presence. "Fat and Famine" was the name given to a radical mission approach which saw the Hull YFC team living, working and worshipping in the Famine communities, making an impact through presence.

Hull YFC aims to support the local church in reaching out to the community whilst drawing on the skills, support and wisdom of the more fully resourced churches.
